Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and 3/4 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in the milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and arrange the peach slices on top. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
- Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the whipped cream over the top and serve.
