Vada Pav Sliders

Ingredients

  • 12 small burger buns
  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup besan (gram flour)
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat some oil and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and mashed potatoes. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add garam masala, chopped cilantro, and salt. Mix and remove from heat.
  4. Divide the potato mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties.
  5. In a bowl, mix besan with water to make a smooth batter. Dip the potato patties in the batter and deep fry until golden brown.
  6. Slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly.
  7. Place a potato patty between the buns and serve hot.
