Vada Pav Sliders
Vada Pav Sliders are a popular Indian street food, consisting of spicy potato fritters served in a bun. This recipe puts a fun twist on the classic by turning them into sliders, perfect for parties or a quick snack.
Ingredients
- 12 small burger buns
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup besan (gram flour)
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pan, heat some oil and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and mashed potatoes. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add garam masala, chopped cilantro, and salt. Mix and remove from heat.
- Divide the potato mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties.
- In a bowl, mix besan with water to make a smooth batter. Dip the potato patties in the batter and deep fry until golden brown.
- Slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly.
- Place a potato patty between the buns and serve hot.
