Vareniki Delight

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- Sour cream (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the egg and water. Mix until a dough forms.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut it into circles using a glass or cookie cutter.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, grated cheese, and chopped onions.
- Place a spoonful of the filling onto each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the vareniki in batches for about 5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the vareniki until lightly golden.
- Serve the vareniki with a dollop of sour cream.
