Introducing the Vegemite Burger, a classic Aussie favorite with a unique twist!
Ingredients
- 4 burger buns
- 4 veggie burger patties
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 tablespoons of Vegemite
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Butter for toasting buns
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the veggie burger patties according to package instructions.
- In another skillet, sauté the sliced onions until caramelized.
- Toast the burger buns with a little butter until golden brown.
- Spread Vegemite on the bottom half of each bun.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, veggie patty, caramelized onions, and a slice of cheddar cheese on each bun.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
