Ingredients

  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 veggie burger patties
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons of Vegemite
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Butter for toasting buns

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the veggie burger patties according to package instructions.
  2. In another skillet, sauté the sliced onions until caramelized.
  3. Toast the burger buns with a little butter until golden brown.
  4. Spread Vegemite on the bottom half of each bun.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, veggie patty, caramelized onions, and a slice of cheddar cheese on each bun.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
