Vegetarian Paneer Tikka Masala
Vegetarian Paneer Tikka Masala is a flavorful and aromatic Indian dish that is perfect for a cozy night in. This creamy and rich curry is made with marinated paneer, cooked in a spiced tomato-based sauce, and is best served with naan or rice.
Ingredients
- 1 block of paneer, cubed
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt with cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, ginger, and garlic. Add the paneer cubes and bell pepper, and marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown. Add the marinated paneer and bell pepper, and cook until lightly browned.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt to taste.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let the curry simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
