Vegetarian Paneer Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  • 1 block of paneer, cubed
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt with cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, ginger, and garlic. Add the paneer cubes and bell pepper, and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown. Add the marinated paneer and bell pepper, and cook until lightly browned.
  3. Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt to taste.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and let the curry simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
