Veggie Vegemite Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, and spring onions)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegemite
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 20 dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped vegetables, Vegemite, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic until well combined.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the vegetable mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and pleat to seal the dumplings.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Place the dumplings in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  5. Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan, cover, and steam the dumplings for 5-7 minutes until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through.
  6. Serve the Veggie Vegemite Dumplings hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
