Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- After the dough has risen, heat the oil in a deep pot over medium heat.
- Divide the dough into 10 equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Gently place the dough balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the vetkoeks from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
