Ingredients

  • 2 lbs live crawfish
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Add the live crawfish to the pot and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large wok or skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the garlic, shallots, and red chilies. Cook until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked crawfish to the wok and stir in the fish sauce.
  6. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with cilantro, green onions, and lime wedges.
