Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried vinkubala (caterpillars)

  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried vinkubala in water for 1 hour, then drain and rinse.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the soaked vinkubala to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, ground cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Cook for another 5 minutes.
