Ingredients

  • 2 cups of basmati rice
  • 1 1/2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and vegetable oil.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
