Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Stir in the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  4. Gradually add the hot water and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
