Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir in the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Gradually add the hot water and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
