Ingredients

  • 1 jar of grape leaves
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the grape leaves by rinsing them under cold water and draining them.
  2. In a bowl, mix the rice, onion, parsley, mint, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place a grape leaf on a flat surface, shiny side down. Place a small amount of the rice mixture in the center of the leaf.
  4. Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling, then roll it up tightly.
  5. Repeat with the remaining grape leaves and filling.
  6. Place the stuffed grape leaves in a pot, seam side down, and add enough water to cover them.
  7. Cover the pot and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
  8. Once cooked, remove from heat and let them cool before serving.
