Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp wasabi paste
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the cooked white rice, soy sauce, and chopped green onions. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the shrimp, beaten eggs, wasabi paste, salt, and pepper.
- Take a small portion of the rice mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center and form it into a ball.
- Roll the rice ball in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the rice balls until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
- Serve the Wasabi Ebi Chǎofàn Qiú hot with a side of soy sauce for dipping.
