Water Pancake (neer Dosa)
Neer Dosa, also known as Water Pancake, is a popular dish from Karnataka Cuisine. It is a thin, delicate, and lacy crepe made with rice batter and coconut. This gluten-free and vegan pancake is perfect for a light and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour, grated coconut, and salt.
- Add water gradually and mix to form a thin batter. The batter should be watery, similar to buttermilk.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, pour a ladleful of batter in a circular motion to cover the pan.
- Cook for a minute or until the edges start to lift. No need to flip the dosa.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve hot with chutney or curry of your choice.
