Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Finally, fold in the whipping cream. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
