Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground wallaby meat
  • 1 cup finely chopped Tasmanian mountain pepper leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground wallaby meat, chopped mountain pepper leaves, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold over and press to seal.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the wontons from the oil and drain on paper towels.
