Ingredients

  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 lb smoked pork belly, sliced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Place the rinsed rice in a steamer basket and add the water, salt, green onions, and ginger.
  3. Arrange the sliced smoked pork belly on top of the rice.
  4. Cover the steamer and place it over high heat. Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat to low and steam for 1 hour.
  5. Once done, remove the steamer from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before uncovering.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve the Xun Rou Fan hot.
