Yang Rou Chuan (savory Manchu Lamb Skewers)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lamb, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, black pepper, cumin, and chili flakes.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Thread the marinated lamb, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook the skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness.
