Yin-Yang Zoodle Stir-Fry (阴阳炒面)
This recipe combines the concept of yin and yang from Taoist philosophy with the deliciousness of a zoodle stir-fry. The balance of flavors and textures in this dish makes it a perfect addition to a Taoist diet.
Ingredients
- 2 zucchinis, spiralized
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1/2 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add the zucchini, carrot, bell peppers, snap peas, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and vegetable broth. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and toss to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
