Yogurt Curry (sindhi Kadi)
Yogurt Curry, also known as Sindhi Kadi, is a traditional Pakistani dish that is creamy, tangy, and full of flavor. It is a popular comfort food that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 dried red chilies
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups water
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, gram flour, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt.
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, dried red chilies, curry leaves, and fenugreek seeds. Cook until the seeds start to splutter.
- Pour the yogurt mixture into the pot and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
- Add water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
