Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced beef
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 1/4 cup sake (Japanese rice wine)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 4 servings of steamed rice
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to make the sauce.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the beef. Cook until browned.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and onions. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Divide the steamed rice among four bowls and top with the beef and onion mixture.
