Yunnan-style Fried Goat Cheese (云南炒山羊奶酪)

Ingredients

  • 200g goat cheese
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 2-3 dried red chilies
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the goat cheese into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the Sichuan peppercorns and dried red chilies to the pan, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, and sauté for another minute.
  5. Add the goat cheese slices to the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Season with salt and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
