Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) beef sirloin, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- 2 tbsp (30ml) vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp (30g) brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp (10g) Sichuan peppercorns, crushed
- 2 tsp (10g) chili flakes
- 1 tsp (5g) five-spice powder
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1/4 cup (60ml) rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup (60ml) water
- 1 bunch scallions, cut into 1-inch pieces
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar, garlic, Sichuan peppercorns, chili flakes, five-spice powder, salt, rice vinegar, and water to make the marinade.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef cubes and scallion pieces onto skewers.
- Grill the beef skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to desired doneness.
- Serve the grilled beef skewers hot and enjoy!
