Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh squid, cleaned and scored

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix Yunnan chili powder, Sichuan peppercorns, minced garlic, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Coat the cleaned and scored squid with the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the squid for 2-3 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through.
  5. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
