云南麻辣烤豆腐 (Yunnan-style Spicy Grilled Tofu) is a popular dish from Yunnan Cuisine known for its bold and spicy flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, sliced
- 2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 3 tbsp chili oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp chopped scallions
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu slices between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, mix together Sichuan peppercorns, chili oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped scallions, sugar, and salt.
- Marinate the tofu slices in the mixture for 10 minutes.
- Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and grill the tofu for 3-4 minutes on each side until charred.
- Serve the grilled tofu hot with a side of steamed rice.
