Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken thighs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chopped lemongrass, minced garlic, sliced ginger, sliced red chilies, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in a shallow dish and pour the lemongrass mixture over the chicken, making sure to coat each piece evenly. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Place the dish in a steamer over boiling water and steam for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. In a small saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a serving plate and pour the hot oil and broth mixture over the chicken.
