Zanzibari Zingy Prawns

Ingredients

  • 500g large prawns, peeled and deveined

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.
  3. Add the ground cumin, paprika, turmeric, chili powder, and salt to the pan, and stir to combine with the onion and garlic.
  4. Add the prawns to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  5. Squeeze the lemon juice over the prawns and stir to combine.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat and garnish with fresh cilantro.
