Zen Garden Tofu Delight
Zen Garden Tofu Delight is a light and flavorful dish inspired by Chinese Buddhist Cuisine. It's a perfect choice for a healthy and peaceful meal.
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup water chestnuts, sliced
- 1/4 cup bamboo shoots
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
- Coat the tofu cubes with cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli, bell pepper, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to coat everything with the sauce.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
