Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped shiitake mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 20 round dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper to the vegetable mixture and toss to combine.
  3. Place a small spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together to seal the dumpling.
  5. Place the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper and steam for 12-15 minutes, until the wrappers are cooked through.
