Zenica Meatballs (Zeničke Ćufte)

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Pour the beef broth over the meatballs and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
