Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of firm tofu
  • 100g ground pork
  • 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tofu by cutting a slit in the middle of each piece to create a pocket for the filling.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, chopped mushrooms, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper.
  3. Stuff the tofu pockets with the filling mixture.
  4. Dust the stuffed tofu with cornstarch.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
