Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped.
- Transfer the chopped shrimp to a bowl and add water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the shrimp mixture into small balls, then roll them in cornstarch and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the shrimp balls until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the shrimp balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
