Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped.
  2. Transfer the chopped shrimp to a bowl and add water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the shrimp mixture into small balls, then roll them in cornstarch and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the shrimp balls until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the shrimp balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
