Ingredients
- 2 fresh crabs, cleaned and halved
- 2 cups glutinous rice, soaked for 2 hours
- 4 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Rinse the soaked glutinous rice and drain well.
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper.
- Place a portion of the seasoned rice in the bottom of a heatproof dish.
- Arrange the crab halves on top of the rice, then add the remaining rice around and on top of the crabs.
- Pour the chicken broth over the rice and crabs.
- Sprinkle the ginger, garlic, and green onions on top.
- Drizzle the Shaoxing wine over the dish.
- Steam over high heat for 1 hour.
- Serve the steamed crab with glutinous rice hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
