Ingredients

  • 500g pork ribs
  • 200g bamboo shoots, sliced
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 3 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a pot, blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse under cold water.
  2. Heat some oil in a wok or pot, and sauté the ginger, garlic, and green onions until fragrant.
  3. Add the pork ribs and bamboo shoots, then pour in the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Stir well.
  4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the pork ribs are tender.
  5. Adjust the seasoning if needed, then serve hot.
