Ingredients
- 500g pork belly, cut into thick slices
- 200g bamboo shoots, sliced

- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Blanch the pork belly slices in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Heat a wok or large skillet over medium heat, then add the blanched pork belly slices and cook until browned on both sides.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions to the wok, and stir-fry for a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and five-spice powder, then stir to coat the pork belly.
- Add the bamboo shoots and water to the wok, then bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the pork belly is tender.
- Uncover the wok and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer the braised pork belly and bamboo shoots to a serving dish, then serve hot with steamed rice.
