Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, cut into pieces
- 500g bamboo shoots, sliced
- 3 slices of ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Heat a wok or large pot over medium heat. Add the duck pieces and cook until browned.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Stir well to coat the duck.
- Add the bamboo shoots and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the duck is tender.
- Season with salt and adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions, if desired.
