Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh bamboo shoots, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a wok or skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the garlic, ginger, and red chili. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the bamboo shoots and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Season with soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Stir well.
  5. Pour in the water and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the bamboo shoots are tender-crisp.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
