Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, shredded
- 1 cup bamboo shoots, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the shredded chicken to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it is no longer pink.
- Add the bamboo shoots and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and bamboo shoots. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
- Stir in the sliced green onions and remove from heat.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
