Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the beef slices and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the bamboo shoots and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and bamboo shoots. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
