Ingredients
- 4 large onions
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the top off each onion and carefully remove the inner layers, leaving the outer 2-3 layers intact to create a shell.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, cooked rice, bell pepper, small onion, garlic, thyme, paprika, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Stuff each onion with the meat mixture, pressing it down gently to fill the onion shell.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the stuffed onions in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until browned.
- Transfer the browned onions to a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked.
