Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, about 3 lbs
- 1 cup Shaoxing wine
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add the chicken, ginger, and green onions to the pot. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and place it in a bowl of ice water to cool. Then, cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- In a separate bowl, mix the Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
