Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- 4 cups sliced onions
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet with the bacon fat and cook over medium heat until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the caramelized onions and cooked bacon in the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the egg mixture over the onions and bacon.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
