Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and minced garlic. Add the frothy yeast mixture, yogurt, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a teardrop shape.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Place the rolled naan on the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and puffed up.
- Brush the cooked naan with melted butter and serve hot.
