Goan Prawn Kishmur
Goan Prawn Kishmur is a traditional dish from the Goan Catholic Cuisine, known for its bold flavors and use of local ingredients.
Ingredients
- 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until they turn translucent.
- Add the green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Sauté for a minute.
- Add the prawns and cook for 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
- Add the freshly grated coconut and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
