Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina (rava)
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/4 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups water
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine semolina, rice flour, all-purpose flour, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, black pepper, and salt.
- Slowly add water and mix until you get a thin, pourable batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan or cast iron skillet over medium heat. Drizzle a few drops of oil and spread it using a paper towel.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan in a circular motion to form a thin layer. Drizzle some oil around the edges.
- Cook until the edges start to brown and the dosa turns crispy. Flip and cook for another minute.
- Remove the dosa from the pan and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
