Wonton Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper.
  2. Place a small amount of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
  3. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the wontons and cook for 4-5 minutes, until they float to the top and are cooked through.
  4. Serve the wonton soup hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
